The transformative power of prayer

God wants a relationship with us.  And any good relationship thrives on communication, so He has provided Jesus to help us come into God’s presence and open our hearts and innermost anxieties to Him. God already knows your every thought and he still wants to hear from you, isn’t that amazing?

How can we pray?

We don’t need to use big words or put any barriers between us and God, our Father in heaven. He wants to hear our thoughts which sometimes can’t be expressed in words so often we don’t need to pray out loud, our silent prayers can be heard just as easily by God.

When we pray, we don’t just pray by ourselves

There are times when our life is so overwhelming that we don’t know what to pray for.  And it’s in these moments when we may be able to do nothing more than cry out or close our eyes in pain that we are not alone. Jesus promised us that God’s Spirit will search the deep places of our hearts and will pray for us and with us.

When and where should we pray?

It’s simple…. Anytime, anywhere, God is like any really good parent. He is ready to listen to you 24/7.

‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.’
(Jeremiah 29:11-13)
