Going to church is changing, for good and so are we

Church isn’t so much somewhere you go as something you are.  It’s about people caring for people, not just the building.  We all have a responsibility to show God’s love.

You can’t build a wall around God’s love

We’re growing through God’s grace, and we’d love you to join too.  Being online has accelerated inclusion from all walks of life, ages, genres and nationalities.  It’s been a real blessing as we know we’re a work in progress, but we are doing our best to live out our beliefs together and bring God’s message of hope to as wide an audience as possible.

A church for the people

We are a church with no central authority other than God.  Any member of our church (male or female, young or old) can present a talk at any of our services and develop their own individual and communal relationship with God and Jesus. We encourage open-mindedness and tolerance as we try to understand together what God is saying to us through the Bible.

Jesus will return to earth

We are part of the Worldwide Christadelphian Community which originally was a bit of a challenger church, going against the grain and preaching about the return of Jesus to earth to set up his Kingdom here.  The Bible is very clear about the plan for our beautiful earth which gives us so much hope.

Challenging but caring

Because the community encourages individual church autonomy, we have our own ‘flavour’ which is challenging but caring and open for everyone.

Butterfly

You may have noticed our butterfly in the image.  We think our purpose here on earth is to embrace the caterpillar to butterfly transformation. Yes, it can feel messy, it might feel like our life is falling apart, but we’re becoming something very different. Something the caterpillar in us can’t imagine but will become greater and more beautiful than we can ever imagine.

We’d love you to join in here

‘O Lord, you have searched me and known me.  You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.  You comprehend my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.  For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.’

(Psalm 139:1-4)
